Ulric Collette
At the Dr. George-L.-Dumont Hospital in Moncton, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 91, passed away peacefully Ulric Collette, husband of his beloved Cecilia (Boudreau) Collette. He lived at O Bons Soins in Shediac. Born in Bouctouche on September 5, 1933, he was the son of the late Edmond and the late Marie (LeBlanc) Collette.
He was the owner of the Dixie Lee in Bouctouche for many years as well as the Decker Boy in Moncton, a former member of the Lion Club and councillor for the village of Bouctouche. He was a passionate and visionary man.
Besides his wife, Cecilia, he will be missed by his daughters, Anne-Marie (Rick Mann), Louise (Marcel Goguen), Jacqueline (Neil Smith) as well as his grandchildren: Christopher, Nicholas, Joshua, Ferris, Ryan, Kristyn, and a great-grandson: Michael. He is also survived by two sisters: Edmonde Brondex (late Marc) and Marie-May Collette (late Pierre); his two brothers: Conrad (late Jeannine) and Jean-Clovis (late Marjolaine); one sister-in-law Emma Collette (late Bernard) as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Guy, four brothers André Zénon, Lomer, Médard, Bernard and a sister Dolinda as well as his mother-in-law Rose-de-Lima Collette.
At the family's choice, there will be no visits. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, on Tuesday, September 17th at 11 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
In memory of Ulric, donations to the Vestiaire St-Jean-Baptiste in Bouctouche would be appreciated.
