Léona Allain

It is with a heart filled with sadness and gratitude that the family of Léona Allain announces her death at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the age of 84. She was married to the late Guy Allain (2015). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Adéric and the late Hélène (Hébert) Saulnier.
She is survived by her six children: Paul, Yvon, Gisèle Poirier (Robert), Jean-Marie (Wonda), Nicole of Bouctouche and Michelle Haché (Allain) of Notre-Dame, her six grandchildren: Nathalie, Stéphanie, Lyne, Anike, Alexandre, Nicholas as well as her four great-grandchildren: Lucas, Alex, Dax and Olivier. She is also survived by her sister Emelda Allain (late Roger) as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was predeceased by three sisters: Aldéa, Anita, Léa and a brother: Willie.
Visitation will be held from Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, from 1 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at 4 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Our mother was very special to us children and grandchildren. She was a woman of great heart, with many friends and loved by all. We would like to thank her son’s special care residence Jean-Marie and Wonda as well as their employees and residents for all their love towards our dear Mom.
In memory of Léona, donations may be made to the Saint-Jean Baptiste Parish in Bouctouche.
