Jeanne Melanson

Jeanne Melanson, 86, of Cocagne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence, on Wednesday August 7, 2024. She was married to the late Roger Melanson (2017). Born in Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Donat and the late Henriette (Caissie) LeBlanc.
She will be sadly missed by her son: Robert (Rachel) of Cocagne, her three Grandchildren; Mélanie, Shawn, Jennifer and her three great grandchildren; Maïka, Malik and Jessiah. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters; Anita LeBlanc (late Alphée), Yvette LeBlanc (Roger) of Grande-Digue, Edith Allain (late Irois) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, one brother; Eric (Noella) of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one daughter; Anna (2021), six sisters; Roberte, Hélène, Diana, Annie, Azélia, Eva and four brothers; Philippe, Octave, François, Fidèle.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Monday August 12, 2024 from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cocagne Church on Monday August 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Jeanne’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
