Edward Hicks

Edward Hicks, 78, of Bouctouche passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the UHC Dr. Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton on Sunday March 17, 2024. He was married to Viola (Duplessis) Hicks. Born in Edmundston, he was the son of the late Vernon and the late Lillian (Arsenault) Hicks.
He will be sadly missed by his wife; Viola Hicks, his two children; Vicky Maillet (Steven), Bobby (Rita) of Bouctouche, his four grandsons; Joey, Jeremy, Jason, Kevin and five great grandchildren; Maxime, Annika, Bailey, Scarlett and Arya. He also leaves to mourn his sister; Verena Basque (Rodrigue) of Blackville, one brother; Lester (Denise) of Moncton and several nephews and nieces.
Edward was predeceased by one daughter; Verena and one step-son; Rhéal.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday March 21, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Thursday March 21, 2024 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Edwards’s memory, donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT Foundation.
