Désiré Melanson
Désiré Melanson, 74, of Saint-Paul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Maison Albert House, Moncton, on Monday March 11, 2024. He was married to Denise (Léger) Melanson. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Onézime and the late Elise (Gaudet) Melanson.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Denise, his four children; Pierrette Cormier (Ronald) of Saint-Paul, Raymond (Rachelle) of Dieppe, Pierre (Tracy), Martin (George) of Saint-Paul, his eight grandchildren; Mark, Crystal, Mathieu, Justin, Alex, Patrick, Hailey and Zachary. He also leaves to mourn his five sisters; Bernadette Robichaud (Alyre) of Dieppe, Albertine Collette (Aldéo), Alma Boucher (Roger) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Rose-Marie Bourque (Ron), Majella Collette (Richard) of Moncton, one brother; Aldéric (Oniva) of Saint-Paul, one sister-in-law; Gisèle Melanson (late Louis), two brothers-in-law; Gerard LeBlanc (late Nélida), Léonce Boudreau (late Antoinette) and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by four sisters; Odila, Sr Maria ndsc, Nélida, Antoinette and one brother; Louis.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Paul on Sunday March 17, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Monday March 18, from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Paul Church on Monday March 18, 2024 at 3:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Désiré’s memory, donations may be made to the Maison Albert House or to the Saint-Paul de Kent Parish Fund.
