Jean-Paul «Pitou» Caissie
1929-2024
Jean-Paul «Pitou» Caissie, 94, of Bouctouche, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent
Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Wednesday February 7, 2024. He was
married to the late Julienne (Arsenault) Caissie (1990). Born in
Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Edgar and the late Elizabeth
(Cormier) Caissie.
He will be sadly missed by his five children; Marie-Paule McFadden (Late Oswald), Yvette Duplessis (Noël), Léo (Annette), Yvon (Jeannine) and Léonard «Toupette» (Francine) all of Bouctouche, his ten grandchildren; Nancy, Kathy, Jean-Noël, Oswald Jr., Marc, Réjean, Rachelle, Carolle, Jason, Gerard, his fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn three brothers; Daniel (Bernadette) of Moncton, Hervé (Late Louisa) and Gerald of Bouctouche, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law as well several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by five sisters; Edna, Marianne, Marguerite, Dorilla, Diane and three brothers; Edouard, Joseph and Raymond.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday February 12, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Monday February 12, 2024 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Jean-Paul’s memory donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Staff of the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital as well as Francine for the excellent care given to our father and grandfather.
