John Collette

John Collette, 85, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at his residence on Monday February 5th, 2024. He was married to Noëlla (Cormier) Collette. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Daniel and the late Emma (Goguen) Collette.
John was a welder by trade and a fourth degree Knights of Columbus, council 2611 Bouctouche.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Noëlla, his two children; Christine Arsenault (Jos) of Bouctouche Sud, Ricky (Bernice) of Bouctouche, his three grandchildren; Katia (Maxime), Karine and Jordan (Lisa) as well as two great grandchildren; Maya and Bella. He also leaves to mourn his two sisters; Cecile Francis of Bouctouche, Laurise Fournelle of Quebec, QC and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by four sisters; Aldéa, Fernande, Marie, Hermélia and five brothers; Ami, Gerald, Donel and two in infancy.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday February 9, 2024 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday February 10 from 9:00 am to 10:45 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In John’s memory, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, Pulmonary Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
