Arthur Cormier

Arthur Cormier, 87, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday November 4, 2023 at the UHC Dr Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Eugère and the late Laura (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Art left Bouctouche at an early age to find work in Toronto. That is where he met his first wife Cecile LeBlanc and they raised their three children. He moved back to Bouctouche in 2017 to be with his family.
Art will be sadly missed by his two children; Claudette Cormier of Cocagne, Ronnie (Anne) of Toronto, his first wife Cecile LeBlanc of Cocagne, his three grandchildren; Bobby (Michelle), Darrell and Samantha as well as two great grandchildren; Alyssa and Nicholas. He also leaves to mourn his four sisters; Lauraine LeBlanc (Bernadin), Rosemai (Normand) of Gardner, MA, Noella LeBlanc (Dave) of Moncton, Marie LeBlanc (Laurie) of Bouctouche, one brother; Yvon (Mariette) of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one son Paul, one granddaughter; Sara, two brothers; Gerard and André as well as his second wife; Catherine (Mills) Cormier.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de L’église, Bouctouche, on Thursday November 9, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Arthur’s memory, donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT Foundation.
