Iona LeBlanc

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Iona LeBlanc of Saint-Paul at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Monday February 20, 2023 at the age of 87. She was married to the late Normand F LeBlanc. Born in Saint-Paul, she was the daughter of the late Levi and the late Obeline (Gallant) LeBlanc.
Iona was dedicated to her family; she loved without condition. She was a great cook and enjoyed to spend time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Murielle LeBlanc of Saint-Antoine, Clarence LeBlanc of Moncton and Yvette (Jacques) Cormier of Saint-Paul; her two grandchildren: Lise (Réjean) Melanson and Denis Cormier and two great-grandchildren: Sofia and Philip. She also leaves to mourn her sisters : Ida (Valmond) Maillet, Géralda (Gérard) Caissie and Yvonne Caissie.
Iona was predeceased by two brothers; Freddy and Clorice.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Thursday February 23, 2023 from 1 to 2:45pm followed by the Funeral Mass at 3:00pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Iona’s memory a donation can be made to the Saint-Paul Parish.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff and doctors of the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital for the excellent care provided to Iona.
