Vickie Maillet
Vickie Maillet, 51, of Bouctouche Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at the UHC Dr Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton. She was the common-law wife of Mario Duplessis. Born in Gardner, MA, she was the daughter of Roméo and Gloria (Goguen) Maillet.
Vickie worked for several years at Systemair, Bouctouche; she then went to work at Bouctouche Bay Oysters and was well known for her times spent at the Bouctouche Farmers Market representing Bouctouche Bay Oysters. Vickie was a beautiful person who was not ready to leave us. Everyone liked her, as she was such a gentle soul. She treasured her family and completed a diamond painting for each one of them. She adored her dog and cats. On her beautiful property au Fond de la Baie, she enjoyed feeding and observing birds, especially the humming birds. Above all, she loved Mario and her two children.
She will be sadly missed by her spouse Mario, her parents; Roméo and Gloria Maillet of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, her two children; Holly Pellerin (Rémi), Luc Pellerin of Bouctouche, Mario’s son; Benoit Duplessis (Sara) of Saint-Antoine. She also leaves to mourn one sister Charlene Maillet (Onile) of Dieppe and one brother; Duane (Anne) of Moncton as well as several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday September 2, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday September 2, 2022 at 7:30 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
FACE MASKS ARE MANDATORY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
In Vickie’s memory donations may be made to the Greater Moncton S.P.C.A.
