Doris Maillet

Doris Maillet, 97, of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Thursday October 29, 2020.Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on November 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Azélie (Collette) Maillet.
Doris immigrated to the United States on September 7, 1956, she worked as a private duty nurse for many years and was loved by those she cared for.She was an active and faithful parishioner and loved the Lord. She enjoyed the beach, dogs and most of all people. Doris loved her nieces and nephews and took great interest in all her many grand nieces and nephews. She had a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered for making everyday moments fun.
She will be sadly missed by her adopted brother Camille LeBlanc of Saint-John and by her nieces and nephews; Roberta Bastarache, Denise (Tom) Crispino, Jacqueline (Steve) Zazzaro, Raymond(Joanne) Bastarache, Maurice (Leslie) Bastarache and Paul (Carol) Bernard.
Doris was predeceased by her four sisters; Laudia(Clarence) Bastarache, Eva Maillet, Anita Maillet and Jeanne(Emile) Bernard.
The family would like to thank the Chateau Bel Age, Bouctouche, for the excellent care provided to Doris during the last ten years.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent cemetery. A message of condolence can be sent to the family through our website at www.mailletfuneralhome.ca
