Sylvio Allain
1954-2020
Sylvio Allain, 66, of Moncton and formerly of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent,
passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the UHC Dr.
Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton on Tuesday September 15, 2020. Born in
Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Aquila and the late
Emerise (Allain) Allain.
Sylvio was a school teacher by profession. He was also known as an accomplished playwright and author. But mostly known for his Acadian folklore legend writing and telling. Goosebumps were had by many at Halloween. He loved the responses he got every year.
He will be sadly missed by his sister Cécile Allain of Moncton, his two brothers; Vincent of Bouctouche and Benoît (Lila) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent as well as five nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one brother in infancy, Joseph Benoît.
Due to the pandemic a private visitation and private funeral service will be held at a later date at Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche with interment in the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
