Gemma LeBlanc
1936-2020
Gemma LeBlanc, 83, of Rexton Lions Nursing Home, Rexton and formerly
of Richibouctou-Village, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her
family at the Nursing Home on Thursday February 13, 2020. She was
married to Abel LeBlanc of Richibouctou-Village. Born in
Saint-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late
Marie (Barrieau) Vautour.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Abel, her four children; Jeanice Robichaud (Claude) of Fredericton, Réjean (Marie) of Richibouctou-Village, Alfred (Jacqueline) and Gilles of Bouctouche, her six grandchildren; Gabriel, Mathieu, Sonia, Janelle, Kayla and Ryan as well as four great grandchildren; Jax, Emma, Hendrix and Kody. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters; Zita Thébeau (Late Hypolite) of Saint-Louis, Gilberte Cormier (Late Armand) of Rogersville, her three brothers; Albert (Céline) of Fredericton, Robert (Géraldine) of Saint-Louis, Gerard (Géraldine) of Saint-Ignace and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one infant daughter, one sister Irène and five brothers; Pierre, Jacques, Aurel, Yvon and Louis.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Richibouctou-Village on Monday February 17, 2020 from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Richibouctou-Village Church on Monday February 17, 2020 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Gemma’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
