Viola LeBlanc
Viola LeBlanc, 78, of Cocagne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at the Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Dieppe, on Friday November 29, 2019. She was married to the late Alonzo LeBlanc (2002). Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Odilon and the late Julienne (Bourque) Gallant.
«Madame Viola» was a primary school teacher for 35 years in Cocagne. She was part of numerous committees and associations throughout her teaching career. She loved life, spending time with family and friends, dancing with her sister Léozée and taking part in Frère Walter Comeau’s organized bus trips.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Micheline LeBlanc (Oscar) of Cocagne, her sons; Robert (Susan) of Plymouth, Mass, Guy of Cocagne, her grandchildren; Kimberly, Amanda, Amy, Sabastian and her great grandchildren; Thomas and Jazzmine. She also leaves to mourn her sisters; Zella Saulnier (late Antoine) of Shediac, Sr Léozée Gallant NDSC of Moncton, Jeannine Nadeau (Ronald) of Coventry, Conn and several nieces and nephews.
Viola was predeceased by her sisters; Ozita, Dora and her brothers; Ola, Elric and Hervé.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne, on Wednesday December 4, 2019 from 2 to 4pm and from 5:30 to 6:45: pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Pierre Church, Cocagne, on Wednesday December 4, 2019 at 7:00pm.
Our family is forever grateful to the Residence NDSC, its employees and residents for having welcomed mom so lovingly in their home. Your love for our mother made all the difference in the world.
In Viola’s memory, a donation can be made to the Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur.
