Ovila Fontaine
1937-2019
Ovila Fontaine, 82, of McDougall Sett, passed away peacefully at the
Dr Georges-L-Dumont UHC, on Sunday October 6, 2019. He was married to
Rosette (Arsenault) Fontaine. Born in Notre-Dame, he was the son of
the late Edgar and the late Mathilda (Lirette) Fontaine.
Ovila was employed as a mechanic for the CN for a number of years. He loved the great outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, and loved snowmobiling with his wife and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosette, five sisters-in-law Hélène Fontaine of Moncton, Nicole LeBlanc (Jean-Claude) of Saint-Charles, Marcella Clark (Tony). Marielle Arsenault of Moncton, Marthe Arsenault (Delphis Collette) of Renaud's Mills, one brother-in-law; Bernard Arsenault of Cocagne, and several nieces and nephews.
Ovila was predeceased by his brother, Hervé and two sisters in infancy.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, in Notre-Dame, on Thursday October 10, 2019 from 2 to 4 and from 5:30 to 6:45pm followed by the Funeral Mass at 7:00pm.
In Ovila’s memory a donation can be made to The CHU Dumont Foundation or to the Notre-Dame parish fund.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
