Alfreda Léger

Alfreda Léger, 76, of Bouctouche Sud, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Tuesday February 12, 2019. She was married to the late Eric Léger (1971), and her common-law husband, late Gerard Arsenault. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Fred and the late Marie-Rose (Léger) Despres.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Pauline Léger (Georges) of Moncton, Linda Léger of Saint-Antoine and Bernice Arsenault (Danny) of Irishtown, her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Rosemonde Dionne (Clarence) of Saint-Gregoire, Yvonne Hébert (Paul) of Grande-Digue, her three brothers; Yvon (Lucie), Alyre (Marguerite) of Bouctouche and Normand (Dorine) of Moncton as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one grandson, Joey, one sister Bernice and one brother Oscar.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cocagne Church on Tuesday February 19, 2019 at 4:00 pm with interment in the Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Chartersville in the spring.
