Joseph LeBlanc
Joseph LeBlanc, 93, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Friday December 7, 2018. He was married to Sarah (LeBlanc) LeBlanc for 70 years. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Elie and the late Marie-Jeanne (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
He was co-owner with his wife of the LeBlanc Grocery in Bouctouche for several years.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Sarah, his ten children; Edgar (Magella), Désiré, Roger (Jeannine), Jean-Noel (Marie), Normand (Jeannine), Edmée LeBlanc, Anise Mullin (Wayne), Geralda Nowlan (Edouard) all of Bouctouche, Elie (Béatrice) of Richiboucto and Andréa Belliveau (Normand) of Saint-Paul, his twenty six grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn two sisters; Diana Collette of Moncton and Geralda LeBlanc (Yvon) of Bouctouche, one brother Antoine and a brother-in-law; Félix LeBlanc both of Bouctouche as well as several nephews and nieces.
Joseph was predeceased by one daughter Yvonne, one son Emery (2006), three great grandchildren; Stéphanie, Josée, Luc, four sisters; Rita, Laurraine, Edmée and Marie as well as one brother Urbain.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Sunday December 9, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday December 10 from 2 to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday December 10, 2018 at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Joseph’s memory donations may be made to the Foyer Pauline, Bouctouche.
